Specifications

20ml∶0.2g

Usage and dosage

Intravenous injection or intravenous drip. The use of this product usually requires the supplementation of analgesics.

This product is used as an adjuvant for spinal cord and epidural anesthesia, and is used in combination with commonly used preoperative medications, neuromuscular blockers, inhaled anesthetics, and analgesics. There have been no contraindications to drug compatibility. The use of this product as a general anesthesia to assist regional anesthesia techniques requires a lower dosage.

Drug overdose

Accidental overdose of medication may cause cardiac and respiratory depression. Oxygen should be used for artificial ventilation to treat respiratory depression. For the treatment of cardiovascular depression, it is required to lower the patient's head. If the inhibition is severe, plasma compatibilizers and vasopressors should be used.

pharmacological action

Propofol (2,6-diisopropylphenol) is a short acting intravenous general anesthetic used for induction and maintenance of anesthesia or sedation. Propofol has a rapid onset of action (about 30 seconds) and is usually able to quickly recover from anesthesia. Like other general anesthetics, the mechanism of action of propofol is not yet clear, but it is believed to exert sedative/anesthetic effects by positively regulating the inhibitory function of neurotransmitter GABA through ligand gated GABAA receptors.

Storage
